CPU Speed Pro 3.0

CPU Speed Pro is a benchmarking program that shows you the actual CPU speed of your PC. It is perfect for getting the accurate clock frequency of your processor, whether legacy or high-end, normal or overclocked, AMD or Intel. Along with the CPU speed, this program gives you details of the processor, like the family, vendor, and amount of memory, etc.

The speed test runs a series of processes (hard core algorithms) to measure the speed of your processor. The test is pretty quick, it took around 15 seconds on my 3.2 GHz Pentium D. After running a test, you can choose to submit your results to the official web site. There you can view a list of other results and compare yours with the best speed registered with the same processor. The site also features the top 10 processors with their respective speeds.

It is a perfect tool if you need an accurate speed test for your overclocked system. For processors running at normal clock speeds, the results are pretty the same as those specified by the manufacturer and usually don't vary much on retest. And if you want to overclock, you can compare the top speed for your CPU model to have an idea how fast you can run it safely.
